A knowledge base article about How do I search through a Media Gallery? provided by the UC Berkeley IT Service Hub - Knowledge Portal
1. Open the Media Tab.
2. Type search terms in the search field (where you see “Search this Gallery”).
You may need to quote your search terms—even single words—to get useful results.
Your search results show any videos that have your search terms in their title, transcript or captions (words that were said), as well as chapters, slides, or tags that the owner or editors of the video may have added.
3. Click on the video title to go to a certain video.
To filter your search, click the Filters button to open the dropdown menu and select your preferences.
To close the Filters menu, click the Filter button again.
You can sort your search results by clicking the Sort By dropdown menu and selecting your preference.
Click the icon next to the +Add Media button corresponding to your desired layout.
Contrast mode makes it easier to read video titles in the Media Gallery if titles have low contrast with the thumbnail color.
To toggle Contrast Mode, click the half-filled circle button at the top right corner. To turn off contrast mode, click the button again.
