Use View IST Services to see the list of all the department(s) services for which you have access rights. This document shows how to use this list to group data using "Grouping By" in a column heading, useful for creating bar/pie charts for department reports. Before you begin it is useful for creating views if you know the various ways you want to view your department's services, whether by Service Type, Charge Code, Total Cost, etc. Any column heading is available to "group by".
1. In the left-hand menu, click the downward facing arrows to expand the Manage IST Services area.
2. Click View IST Services.
3. When the IST Service Line Items page displays, look at the column headings to see how you want to group them. A partial list is shown below:
NOTE: Use the bottom slider bar to look at far-right column headings.
4. For our example, we will use the column name, Service Type.
To create a Service Type view, right-click in the blue-column heading Service Type.
5. From the pop-up display, select Group By Service Type.
NOTE: If you have a large department, it may take a few seconds to create the view.
6. When the grouped by service type view displays, notice that the quantity per group type is provided in parenthesis after the group title.
7. Click the arrow icon beside a grouping, to see the underlying detail for a Service Type: Authorization Code (2) is shown in our example.
8. Click the arrow in the top bar to return to view the list again.
9. From the list view you can right-click in the blue column heading, (again our example is Service Type) to create a bar or pie chart.
10. Our example shows a Bar Chart. Click any bar, for example PBX, to get the list of details for an IST Service Line Item group.
TIP: The easiest way to return to your ungrouped view is to click View IST Services in the left-hand menu.
