Before you leave on your vacation: Recording and setting your Extended Absence Greeting
- Log in to your mailbox
- Setting your mailbox to play an extended absence greeting is a two step process: 1). Recording the Extended absence greeting, and 2). Changing your mailbox location to "Extended Absence."
- Record your Extended Absence Greeting: press 4-3-2
- Change Location to "Extended Absence": press 4-6-6
Further Options
- To allow caller to skip your Personal Absence greeting press 1
- to block callers from skipping your Personal Absence greeting press 2
- To allow Callers to leave messages press 1
- To block callers from leafing messages 2
- Hang up
(If you hang up before selecting any of the options, the default setting will be chosen for you, they are to allow callers to skip your greeting and to allow callers to leave messages.)
When you return from your vacation: Unsetting your Extended Absence Greeting
- Log in to your mailbox
- Change Location to "In Office": press 4-6-1
- Hang up
- If you had set your Extended absence greeting by following the steps in the previous section, your Original, in-office greeting has been kept safe and will not need to be re-recorded.
