The following are steps for filling out the Telecom Catalog Add New Cellular Device and Plan form when ordering a new hotspot device and service:
- Department Information
- Department ID
- Department Approver (if applicable)
- Cellular Options
- Choose your carrier
- Enter the device make and model you wish to purchase [Enter hotspot device name]
- Is this for a new cellular phone number? Auto-populates to YES. Do not change (Note: All active cellular services are assigned a cellular phone number for billing purposes. Calls cannot be made to/from a hotspot device)
- How many voice allowance minutes do you want per month? [Enter Unlimited Data]
- Would you like Insurance? AT&T does offer insurance. Verizon does not offer insurance.
- Do you call outside of the US? Auto-populates to NO. Do not change (Not applicable)
- Will you be using your phone while traveling internationally? Auto-populates to NO. Do not change (Note: Hotspots and tablets are provisioned to be used in the U.S. only. If a user has plans to travel internationally there is a Telecom Catalog form to request international service activation. Cellular International Activation Request. - Do you want to pick up the device or have it delivered to you? Auto-populates to our on-campus pickup location at Evans Hall.
- If you choose this option, the device will be delivered to Evans hall where it will be made available for pickup only
- If you would like the device delivered directly to the user, use the drop down to select 'deliver to me'. A new box will appear to enter the delivery address. The address must accept FedEx and UPS deliveries. Home addresses are ok (remember to include apartment or suite numbers). P.O. Boxes are not accepted.
- Billing Information [Department chart string]
- Order Contact Information [Who should we contact with questions about this order?]
- Order Comment Box [Enter any additional comments]
- Add to Cart on the right hand side of the screen. Your order will populate in the cart toward the bottom of this section, a new button will appear: View and Edit cart
- Click View and Edit cart (you will be taken to a new page)
- Place Order in the upper right hand corner to submit.
