How to create a connection profile to QA in the Perceptive Content Client?

Through BigFix, Perceptive Content users are connected to the Production server through its corresponding Prod Connection Profile. In some cases, however, users are invited to test in the Perceptive QA server. To this end, users need to add the QA Connection Profile to their Perceptive Client. This is how that additional connection profile is created.

1.  Click on the Perceptive Content icon
2.  On the Perceptive Content dialog box, click on the Connection Profiles menu
3.  Click on Edit Connection Profiles
4.  Click on Create
5.  On the new Connection Profile enter the following info:
   •  Name: QA
   • Server ID: img-qa01.ist.berkeley.edu
   • Server Type: Test
   • Port Number: 6000
   • Click OK
