How to copy/paste a ServiceNow incident# or RITM# into Slack

There are many ways to copy/paste a ServiceNow incident# or RITM# from ServiceNow into Slack.  The easiest is to copy from the List View because it will copy both the ID# and the URL.

  1. Log into ServiceNow
  2. Go to the list view (on Incident, RITM, Change, HR Case, etc.)
  3. see the hyperlink that includes the ID# 
  4. Select it with your mouse (without clicking on it) and copy it. 
    1. Windows:  Ctrl+C
    2. Mac: Command+C
  5. Go to slack and paste
    1. Windows:  Ctrl+V
    2. Mac: Command+V
