How to add users to the Perceptive Content system, formerly known as ImageNow

Background

As of July 2017 users with the role of Functional Owners in the Imagine system can administer their user groups and thus they can add and or remove users as needed. This is done through CalGroups. This article lists the steps to add and remove users.

Assumptions

  1. The user with the role of Imagine Functional Owner is already part of the system and has been previously given this role
  2. The user with the role of Imagine Functional Owner knows the Imagine groups the user should be added to

Resolution

  1. Go to calgroups.berkeley.edu
  2. In the Search field, type the group name you want to edit, for example "AP BearBuy"
  3. In the Search Results window, click the link with the group name
  4. Note - do not click the link that includes the word Comp-group name 
  5. Once in the groups window, click the Add Members button 
  6. Type the user's name on the field
  7. When the name appears, click on it and then click Add
  8. The new user will appear in the Imagine system within the next hour or so
