A knowledge base article about How do I sync bCourses Assignments with the SuiteC Asset Library? provided by the UC Berkeley IT Service Hub - Knowledge Portal
Note: SuiteC is no longer in active development. It will enter a read-only mode on August 20, 2025. It will be permanently retired on June 30, 2026. Please see the SuiteC Retirement FAQ for more information.
Syncing assignments in bCourses to the SuiteC Asset Library means that students' submissions will be automatically added to the Asset Library, where the rest of the class can view and comment on each others' work. This is helpful for activities where students' submissions should be shared with the entire class (eg: Draft versions of papers where you want students to provide comments or feedback to one another). You will also get a column in the gradebook to grade and provide private feedback to students on their submission.
You will first need to have assignments already created before you are able to sync them. For instructions on how to create an assignment please see this Canvas Guide: How do I create an assignment?
Please note that there may be a delay of several hours between when new bCourses assignments are created and when they become available to sync to the Asset Library.
Once you have created assignments, sync them with the Asset Library using the instructions on the slide deck below:
