Removing media from Media Gallery and from My Media are two very different things. When you remove media from My Media, you are deleting it entirely from the system. When you remove media from Media Gallery, you are unpublishing or hiding it from those in the bCourses course site in which it is visible.

How to remove media from a Media Gallery

If you have a role (in the bCourses site) of Teacher, Owner, TA, Lead TA, or Designer you can remove any media from the Media Gallery in that Course site. If you have a different role (e.g. Student), you can only remove videos you own from the Media Gallery.

To remove videos from a course site’s Media Gallery in the Media Gallery:

  1. Make sure you are in the Media Gallery containing the media you wish to remove.
  2. Hover your pointer over the media you wish to remove.
  3. Click the “...” (three dots) icon that appears in the lower right of the video
