How do I publish a single stream from my Zoom recording?

A knowledge base article about How do I publish a single stream from my Zoom recording? provided by the UC Berkeley IT Service Hub - Knowledge Portal

This article explains what to do when you already have a multi-stream Zoom video in your My Media, but you only want to publish one stream from this video.

If you are recording a new video in Zoom and would like to only record one stream, please see How do my Zoom settings impact how recordings appear in Kaltura? to configure Zoom recording settings to only record one stream.

If you recorded your video within the last 30 days

If you recorded your video on Zoom within the last 30 days, individual streams will be available for download on Zoom. Retrieving a single stream video from Zoom is simpler than the other method, so please follow these instructions if you recorded your meeting within the last 30 days.

  1. Go to berkeley.zoom.us/recording
  2. Find the relevant Zoom meeting in the Cloud Recordings tab and select the meeting name under the Topic column. Screenshot of the Zoom Recordings page with the Cloud Recordings tab and recording title highlighted
  3. Hover your cursor over the stream you wish to download and select the download icon to download the stream to your device. Page for a Zoom meeting recording with download icon next to the Shared screen stream highlighted.
  4. Upload the downloaded video to your My Media, following the instructions in How do I upload existing media files to My Media?
  5. Publish your uploaded video to the Media Gallery of the relevant bCourses site, following the instructions in How do I publish media from My Media to a Media Gallery in bCourses?

If you did not record your video within the last 30 days

Unfortunately, after 30 days have passed your recording will no longer be available on Zoom. Please follow these instructions to retrieve your stream.

  1. Follow the instructions in How do I download the second stream of a dual stream video? to download a single stream of your video to your device.
  2.  Upload the downloaded video to your My Media, following the instructions in How do I upload existing media files to My Media?
  3. Publish your uploaded video to the Media Gallery of the relevant bCourses site, following the instructions in How do I publish media from My Media to a Media Gallery in bCourses?
