A knowledge base article about How can I determine which of my Kaltura media is missing captions and transcripts? provided by the UC Berkeley IT Service Hub - Knowledge Portal
In Kaltura, the transcript depends on the captions file. If media has captions, it should have a transcript.
The media entries now listed are the ones missing captions.
For any published media entries that are listed, you'll want to make sure they are not published in currently available bCourses course sites.
If media missing captions is published anywhere that users can access, you should add captions. See "How can I generate captions or a transcript if my Kaltura media is missing them?"
Please note that the technique described above will find media that is missing a captions file, but will NOT necessarily identify media that has empty (or near empty) captions. It is always a good idea, for any media that you intend to use in your courses, to play it with captions enabled, to ensure that there are actually captions.
