The steps below will guide you on connecting to eduroam secure wireless network at UC Berkeley using Android devices.
IMPORTANT: Do not delete the SecureW2 JoinNow app after you are connected to the network.
Ensure you have some form of Wi-Fi or cellular network connection.
- Open the Google Chrome app on your Android device. Be sure that you are opening the Google Chrome app and not just using the Google search bar.
- Go to the GetOnline passwordless confirmation page, you will be prompted to log in to CalNet if you have not already done so.
- Click Continue to open the enrollment site.
- Make sure that Android is listed as the detected system.

- Select Google Play Store (App) and “Download”.
- Install the SecureW2 JoinNow app from the Google Play Store.

- Open the SecureW2 JoinNow App you just installed.

- Log in using your Calnet credentials. Accept Two Factor Authentication, if prompted.

- The next screen will let you know to “save” or “Allow” the saved profile on your device. Select “Next” at the bottom.

- Select “Save” or “Allow” as appropriate.

- Your device should now be configured. Use the on screen directions to test your connection.

- You should be connected to the network. Click on the three vertical lines at the bottom and close the App. You can also close any open tabs from Google Chrome that were opened during this process.
Your device should now be configured for eduroam. If you are on campus, your device should automatically connect to the network. If you are off campus, you should automatically connect to the network when you are back on campus.
