DPM New Project Business Process
1. DPM have a card in the Service Catalog:

3. Clicking on this card will bring up two options: Open a new project, or open a Cable Install Only RITM. Clicking on “Cable Install Only” will bring up the usual Cable Install Only form.
4. To Open a DPM Project, click on “Open a DPM Project”.

6. A new form will appear. Customer completes the form and presses “Submit”. A confirmation screen will appear with the project number.

8. The customer will receive an email that they have opened a project with a summary of the information they entered. This email is also copied to cns-projects@b.e.
9. The summary information will also be added to the Notes tab in the Project form.

11. A new project will open in TelCat, and the DPM template will be applied (currently comprises two tasks, Open Project, Close Project).
12. The project will have an assigned Project Number, but will not have the usual project fields completed.
13. The Project Title field will populate with automated Project Number only.
14. The Portfolio field will auto assign as DPM.
15. A project manager will not be chosen--it will remain empty.
16. The project status will auto fill to “Pending”.
17. The CP project number, if any, will auto fill from the form - from the ‘Departmental Tag’.
18. Expected completion date will auto fill from the form.
19. The contacts entered will be included in the order summary email, and available in the Notes tab.

21. Once DPM sees the new project email, DPM will go in and clean up the information, and format it according to DPM standards.
a. Assign a project manager, and send the standard email to the customer with all the project information, including the Project Manager name and contact information.
