DocuSign: Using SPA Accounts

Opportunity

SPA accounts are a great tool to allow more than one person to manage DocuSign envelopes while from the recipient’s perspective the envelope appears to come from the department rather than an individual.


Process

The Department Account Administrator adds the SPA account in the same manner as any other account. In Settings, go to Users, Add User and then follow the prompts, using the SPA account name and email address, and giving it the correct permission profile.  


Please remember that users must login as the spa with the (+) plus sign prepended in front of their calnetId as described here: https://calnetweb.berkeley.edu/calnet-departments/special-purpose-accounts-spa/managing-spa-affiliated-bmail-accounts


Caution: SPA accounts may NOT be used for signing envelopes; use Signing Groups if you need more than one person to share signing responsibilities for incoming envelopes.
