Perceptive Content: Invalid Scanner Token

Background

You may see errors at scan time such as, ‘The token for CaptureNow - Adrenaline is invalid and has been released’ and ‘This capture profile uses a device for which you do not currently have a token. Scanning will not continue.’

 

Resolution

  1. Have the user log out of Perceptive Content
  2. Delete all scanner token files (intkinfo.machine name.dat) in %programdata%\imagenow\etc, including any token files marked as old. DO NOT DELETE THE FILE NAMED in_hwfp.machine name)
  3. Ensure the group the user belongs to, i.e., the local Users group, has the following permissions at %programdata%\imagenow:
    1. Modify
    2. Read & execute
    3. List folder contents
    4. Read
  4. Have the user log back into Perceptive Content and scan a document. Note there will be a pop up message saying there is no token, click Yes to retrieve a token from the server
  5. The scan should now complete successfully
