Are you confused about when you submit a repair ticket, and when you should submit a data activation request? Here are some questions that may help you out:
- Was the data port active yesterday or very recently? (If yes, then there is something wrong with the cable or port and you should submit a repair ticket to https://berkeley.service-now.com)
- If the answer is no, then the cable/data port was probably not active recently, and you should submit a data activation request to: https://ucb.service-now.com/.
- Do you need a new cable/data port near your desk? If yes, follow the instructions on Connect to Data Network (Install and Activate New Connection/Cable or Activate Existing Cable), KBT0012543.
- If you want to activate an existing data connection, follow the instructions on Connect to Data Network (Install and Activate New Connection/Cable or Activate Existing Cable), KBT0012543.
- If you want to view the existing data cable connections for your building, room, etc, follow the instructions on View Cable Connection Data, KBT0012570.
