Describes the network addresses used by the CalVisitor WiFi Service

The CalVisitor network is intended for unauthenticated guests to campus.  Users in these IP address ranges should not be considered members of the campus community.  Owners and operators of campus resources are advised of these address ranges so that they can appropriately determine how to handle access for these types of users.

 

IPv4

On Campus, CalVisitor users will have addresses within the following Campus-Routable RFC 1918 prefix:

10.105.128.0/17

When connecting off campus, CalVisitor users will appear to have addresses within the following prefix:

192.31.105.128/25

 

IPv6

For both on and off campus IPv6 traffic, CalVisitors will have addresses in the following:

2607:f140:6000::/48
