Background

For reporting purposes some ImageNow user need to know when the date and time a document was routed from one queue to another and by whom.

Solution

This type of data comes in two fields, Routed and Routed, by which can be added as columns in views.

To find these fields:

  1. Select the item, right click on it, choose Properties.
  2. On the left hand side of the Document Properties window, click on Workflow and expand this tree.
  3. Click on the document under the Workflow tree.
  4. Routed (it only displays the last time a document was routed) and Routed by are displayed on the Details tab.
  5. To see more details on the routing history click on the History tab, the Routed Out information is displayed here:

To add these fields as columns to a view:

  1. On the ImageNow Explorer
  2. Right-click on any column name, such as Time in Queue or Item, etc. See screen-shot below.
  3. Highlight Columns.
  4. Click on Routed By and or Routed.

Remember that the views are centrally controlled so when you move to another queue or view, this recent selection will be removed from the view -if it is not part of the actual view-. To save this as a private filter so that the Routed by and Routed columns always appear on the view please go to the job aid 2. Creating and Saving a Simple Private Filter.
