Data Center Networking Requests

Campus customers:  To order data network connections in the Campus or SDSC Data Centers, email the Data Center Operations group at dc-ticket@berkeley.edu with your requirements.  The Data Center group will confer with you to complete the details of your request and submit the order on your behalf.  

Data Center Operations group:  Submit the request using the Other Data Networking Service Request form in the Service Catalog.   The fields should contain the following information:

• Department ID:  "VRIST"
• Department Approver:  leave blank
• Group:  name of the requesting department/unit
• Building:  "Data Center Warren" or "San Diego Supercomputer C"
• Room/Cubicle:  Data Center room number
• Comments (Additional Details):  submit the details of the request here
• Billing method:  Chart String 
• Chart String:  use default Chart String as appropriate (the work will not incur billable charges)
• Contacts:  Data Center Operations staffer submitting the request
• Departmental Tag:  this can be the Data Center ticket number or any other tag you wish to use.
