If your Xerox printing requires accounting codes and/or Secure Print you will need to create a preset before you can print.
To create a Xerox accounting code preset on a Mac, open a document, go to File > Print, select your Xerox printer, and click Printer Options or the dropdown menu to access Xerox Features and then Advanced settings. In the Accounting section, enter your default User ID, select the correct Account Type, and click OK. To save this as a preset, click the Presets dropdown, choose Save Current Settings as Preset, name it, and click OK.
Step-by-step Guide:
1. Open a printable document: Launch any application you can print from, like a web browser or a word processor.
2. Go to the Print dialog: Select File > Print from the menu bar.
3. Select your Xerox printer: Make sure the correct Xerox printer is chosen from the dropdown menu.
4. Access Xerox Features
5. Click the Printer Options or Show Details button, depending on your macOS version.
6. Find the Xerox Features dropdown menu.
7. From the next dropdown menu, select Advanced or change the initial option from Normal Print to Advanced.
8. Configure Accounting Settings
9. Click on the Accounting button.
10. Choose your Accounting System, such as Xerox Standard Accounting.
11. Enter your accounting code in the Default User ID field.
12. Select the appropriate Default Account Type, such as Default Group Account.
13. Click OK to confirm the accounting settings.
14. Save the Preset:
15. Click the Presets dropdown menu.
16. Select Save Current Settings as Preset.
17. Enter a name for your preset (e.g., "Acct-Code") and click OK.
18. Print your job: Select the newly created preset from the dropdown menu in the Print dialog to apply the accounting code to your print job.
Secure Print
For Secure Print follow steps 1-7 above.
Then:
Select Paper/Output from the drop-down menu
In Job Type select Secure Print...
Select OK
And follow steps 14-18 above.
