Yes, both managed and self-managed virtual private server customers can request aliases. Send your request to the appropriate group listed below.
Cloud - cloud-ticket@berkeley.edu
Unix - unix-tickets@berkeley.edu
Windows - win-ticket@berkeley.edu
Users requesting a root level alias (Ex. <name>.berkeley.edu) will need to include a business reason for the entry we can pass on to campus DNS to get the request approved. Requests not at the root level (Ex. <name>.<something>.berkeley.edu) do not have to provide the additional information.
