Google is introducing new chat management features for Gemini in Google Workspace that provide greater control over conversation history and retention.
Beginning June 21, 2026, these features will begin rolling out to Google Workspace accounts. If the options do not appear immediately, they may still be in the process of rolling out.
The temporary chat option allows conversations to take place without being saved to Gemini chat history. This may be useful to you for one-time questions or interactions that do not require a saved history.
Gemini allows deletion of individual conversations or your entire conversation history. This is helpful for managing your chat history and removing conversations that you no longer need.
