A knowledge base article about How do I locate a person's CalNet UID? provided by the UC Berkeley IT Service Hub - Knowledge Portal
If you are adding someone as a direct member to a Special Purpose Account (SPA) or assisting them with troubleshooting a technical issue, knowing your own or someone else's CalNetUID can be helpful. This information is available through the Campus Directory. Users can set privacy settings within the directory to customize what personal information is available publicly, only to CalNet authenticated users, or to noone. If you cannot find the listing you are looking for you can ask a member of your team with CalNet Admin Tool access to search for the user, or open a ticket with calnet-admin@berkeley.edu.
For additional assistance, contact CSS IT at 510-664-9000 and follow the prompts to reach a technician from between 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. A ticket may also be submitted through IT Client Services (ITCS) or by e-mailing itcsshelp@berkeley.edu
