How do I reset my CalNet ID and/or passphrase?

To reset your CalNet passphrase, use the self-service reset passphrase tool at mycalnet.berkeley.edu or directly via this link

  1. Click on Forgot My CalNet ID/Passphrase
  2. Select which type of account you have (student, UCPath, Alumni, etc.), and then enter your ID number or recovery email address.
  3. Verify that you are a human by checking the box, and then click Request reset

Note: You can only use CalNet Account Manager if you have a recovery email address attached to your CalNet account.

If you cannot use the self-service tool, email your full name and student or employee ID number to calnet@berkeley.edu for help.
