Installing the ImageNow Printer on Windows 10

Background

ImageNow Printer from Perceptive Content Client 7.1.5 and 7.2.3 is not installed on Windows 10 although the ImageNow Printer checkbox is checked.  
 

 

Resolution

  1. Login as a user with local administrative rights to the workstation
  2. Tunr off UAC
  3. Browse to the %IMAGENOWDIR%\printer\setup\ 
  4. Right-click the exe executable and click Properties.
  5. Click Compatibility
  6. Check Run this program as an administrator.
  7. Click OK until the properties dialog boxes are closed.
  8. Right-click exe, then select Run as Administrator. If prompted, accept the UAC prompt.
  9. The installer will run and you will see a file copy dialog box appear briefly.
  10. You will be prompted for the location of UNIDRV.dll. Point the installer to the file in the following location, then click OK:
    %WINDIR%\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3\UNIDRV.dll

The installer completes without any confirmation. Verify the ImageNow Printer is visible in Devices and Printers. Test the printer to ensure it is working properly.
