When you use the magnifying glass icon to get an entry for a field you will see a search box that has two types of search options: Go to (selected field) and Search (for text).
Go To
Go to: searches a selected field (for instance, Last Name). Results are sorted alphabetically/numerically according to the information you entered in the Search box, e.g. 'Smith'.
Search (for text)
Search (for text): searches in any field that contains text entered in the Search box, for example, 'Smith'.
