Zoom / CalNet login issues for University Extension teachers

A knowledge base article about Zoom / CalNet login issues for University Extension teachers provided by the UC Berkeley IT Service Hub - Knowledge Portal

As of March 2020, Zoom Licensed/Pro accounts (without add-ons) are now available for faculty, staff, and graduate student instructors due to instructional resilience coverage, free of charge.

We’ve seen a few incidents from professors at University Extension who are having trouble logging into Zoom in order to teach their classes.  It turns out that the problem isn't with Zoom but with logging into CalNet.  If you encounter this, please do the following:

1) Get access to your CalNet account
2) Create your @berkeley.edu email account by going to https://mybconnected.berkeley.edu/my/account, and signing in with your CalNet ID and passphrase. If you do not already have an account, you will see instructions there for how to create it.

3) Go to https://berkeley.zoom.us/signin. You will automatically be provisioned with a Zoom account that you can use to teach their classes.
