You can use the Duo "Trust this browser" feature to reduce the number of times you are prompted to 2-Step. By trusting your browser, you will not need to perform a 2-Step on that specific browser and computer for 30 days (in most cases).

How to Enable "Remember Me" for 30 Days

  1. Log in to a CalNet-protected application.
  2. When the 2-Step prompt appears, you will see the question: "Is this your device?"
  3. Select the "Yes, this is my device" button.

Once selected, the browser will automatically remember you for 30 days.

Security Warning: Do not ask the browser to remember you on a shared or public computer (e.g., library kiosks or lab machines).

Important Note: This setting is unique to each browser and device. If you switch from Chrome to Safari, or move to a different computer, you will need to repeat these steps for that specific environment. Additionally, some campus applications REQUIRE that you perform 2-Step at every login.
