Each option includes free nationwide calling and full support for phone setup, line changes, and feature adjustments. Choose the phone option(s) that fits your workstyle:  softphone, desk phone, voicemail, or analog services

Benefits & Features

Softphone (Avaya Workplace)
Make and receive calls using your campus number directly from your computer, smartphone, or tablet.
Desk Phone
A dedicated phone set on your desk, perfect for those who prefer a traditional office phone experience. It also works with your Softphone if you choose to have both.
Cal Voicemail
Every Campus Phone line has access to Cal Voicemail, UC Berkeley’s modern voicemail platform. Cal Voicemail offers flexible options to manage and access messages from anywhere.
Analog Services
Analog phone lines remain an essential part of UC Berkeley’s communications infrastructure. These lines are designed for specialized equipment and safety systems that require traditional analog connectivity. Common uses are fax machiness, alarm and fire panel connections, elevator emergency phones, blue light emergency phones, communication (Com) units, legacy modems or other analog-based equipment.

Availability

Available 24/7. Support is provided Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PT, excluding University holidays and curtailment periods.
