Description

Berkeley Virtual Desktop is a virtual machine that runs the standard UC Berkeley desktop environment and is accessible through Citrix. It allows users to securely access a consistent and fully integrated computing experience from their own device (BYOD). Berkeley Virtual Desktop helps reduce the time faculty and staff spend managing their personal or university-owned computers by providing a reliable and centrally maintained platform.

Features and Functions Include:

Benefits of SSO include having a single account to access multiple services, allowing a user to log in once and access many services without having to log in again. It provides centralized user management, enhanced productivity, increased security and monitoring, and better user experience.

Faculty, Staff, and Students  - a UC Berkeley account and a Chart String of Accounts (COA) is also required

This service is available 24/7, with support hours between 8am-5pm PST, excluding University holidays and curtailment periods.
