A service overview and catalog of Berkeley Virtual Desktop provided by the UC Berkeley IT Service Hub.
Berkeley Virtual Desktop is a virtual machine that runs the standard UC Berkeley desktop environment and is accessible through Citrix. It allows users to securely access a consistent and fully integrated computing experience from their own device (BYOD). Berkeley Virtual Desktop helps reduce the time faculty and staff spend managing their personal or university-owned computers by providing a reliable and centrally maintained platform.
Benefits of SSO include having a single account to access multiple services, allowing a user to log in once and access many services without having to log in again. It provides centralized user management, enhanced productivity, increased security and monitoring, and better user experience.
