Project Management Consulting

A service overview and catalog of Project Management Consulting provided by the UC Berkeley IT Service Hub.

Description

This service provides an expert, certified project manager to provide consulting on a new or existing project. Consultation is for those who don’t need the full range of services from a project manager. The project manager will:

Help with problem and project definition.
Provide assistance with the discovery phase of the effort, including business cases.
Assist with the development of project planning documentation so departments can execute the project on their own.
Provides consultation to improve the performance of troubled projects; may assume project management responsibilities to bring the project back in control.
Provides training and workshops on project management.

Consulting services also includes configuration advice of SmartSheet as a project tracking tool.

Getting Started

Faculty and staff interested in consulting services should contact fsnowden@berkeley.edu.
After the initial consultation, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) will be developed for the engagement.
After the MOU is signed, the consultation will start.

Eligibility	This service is available to Faculty and Staff.

Availability	Support hours are provided during business hours, 8am-5pm PST, excluding University holidays and curtailment periods.
Cost	Cost will be determined after initial consultation.
Data Classification	This service is rated for P1. Availability and Recovery levels do not apply. Compliance: Users are responsible for ensuring data handled within this service complies with the Data and IT Resource Classification Standards.
