Description

The Network Time Service provides a high-quality, stable clock service for network connected devices. Accurate time is important for computer operations and data analysis. Network Time Protocol (NTP) is a networking protocol facilitating clock synchronization between computer systems.

Cost	For campus community members this service is provided as part of the Data Network Assessment. There are no additional charges to departments or users.
Data Classification	This service is rated for Protection Level P1, Availability Level A1, and Recovery Level RL1 data. Compliance: Users are responsible for ensuring data handled within this service complies with the Data and IT Resource Classification Standards.
