A service overview and catalog of TLS Certificates provided by the UC Berkeley IT Service Hub.

Description

TLS Certificate is a digital certificate that authenticates a website's identity and enables an encrypted connection between a web browser and a server, ensuring secure communication. It helps verify that you're actually interacting with the legitimate website.

These certificates are also known as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates.

Getting Started

Departments:

Departments that manage IT resources have delegated Departmental Certificate Administrators. See your department’s Security Contacts for help
Departments are encouraged to use ACME when possible to automate certificates

Individuals:

You are encouraged to use ACME when possible to automate certificates.

Eligibility	This service is available to Faculty and Staff.

Availability	Service is available 24/7: Sectigo System Status Page Support is provided Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PT, excluding University holidays and curtailment periods.
Cost	There are no direct costs associated with this service.
Data Classification	This service is rated for P4, A3, and R3 data. Compliance: Users are responsible for ensuring data handled within this service complies with the Data and IT Resource Classification Standards.
