Description

The Berkeley Financial System (BFS) is Berkeley’s entperprise system for General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Billing, eBill, Commitment Control, Grants, Contracts, and Project Costing. BFS is an implementation of Oracle’s PeopleSoft Financials product. The administration of BFS is overseen by the Enterprise Applications, Finance & Procurement (EAFP) governance group, and the AVC & Controller’s Office BFS Business Systems unit.

Availability

BFS is available from 7 am to 9 pm every day, except during scheduled maintenance intervals.

Maintenance is typically scheduled for a Sunday morning and is announced to campus well in advance of the downtime. Also, BFS will not be available on the third Friday of February, May, August, and November to allow for any critical patch updates.
