Version Control (GitHub @Berkeley)

A service overview and catalog of Version Control (GitHub @Berkeley) provided by the UC Berkeley IT Service Hub.

Description

Application Code Management (GitHub @Berkeley) is UC Berkeley's on-premise, private instance of GitHub Enterprise , a standalone system for managing versions of source code or data. For details, see the user information page

It enables campus individual developers, software development teams, and ad hoc “organizations” or “teams” to manage software and files in repositories. Unlike GitHub.com , it requires a CalNet sign-on, shielding it from the Internet for greater security–thus repositories can be private or shared only within the Berkeley.edu domain.

GitHub @Berkeley is not suitable for public or open-source projects.
