A service overview and catalog of Application Development Management (JIRA) provided by the UC Berkeley IT Service Hub.
For UC Berekeley application teams, this service offering acts as the bridge between Business Analysts (BAs), who define the "what," and Developers, who handle the "how." Feature requests and bug fixes are centralized in a single environment, eliminating the friction often found between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The platform supports comprehensive backlog grooming, sprint management, and release management, utilizing both Scrum and Kanban Agile boards. Fully customizable workflows allow teams to automate handoffs and ensure quality gates are met at every stage.
Service teams supporting campuswide applications are eligible to use this service with the approval of their service owner, service offering manager, and development team lead.
Requests to create a new campuswide application development project can be made by development team leads (after getting approval from their service team leadership).
Requests for access to specific development projects must be approved by the business owner of the application being developed or the development project leads. Access to development projects are only allowed for campus employees.
All requests should be directed to jira@berkeley.edu
Eligibility | Staff supporting campuswide applications are eligible to use this capability with the approval of the business owner of the application being developed for the development team lead.
