BearGPT Assistants (Pilot)

Description

BearGPT is an AI chat platform curated with official UC and UC Berkeley information. It offers a range of university-sponsored AI chatbots designed to help employees navigate Berkeley’s complex information ecosystem. This service is currently in a pilot phase and is open to all faculty and staff.

BearGPT provides specialized assistants, including the examples below.

BearGPT is intended for accessing official campus information, not for general AI chat. For general-purpose AI conversations, we recommend using the Campus AI Sandbox or Google Gemini.

Built in partnership with UC San Diego, Assistants and chatbots use the UCSD TritonGPT AI platform. The pilot program — a collaboration between Berkeley IT and Berkeley People & Culture — gives departments a safe, managed and low-cost environment to test AI.
